WE Local Buffalo Conference

WE Local conferences are organized by the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) to bring together participants in all stages of their collegiate and professional journey. The conferences create space for engineers, technologists, and partners to connect through professional development sessions, inspirational speakers, networking opportunities, and more.

WE Local attendees range from university students to senior-level professionals who come from a variety of engineering and technology disciplines, as well as non-technical backgrounds. The conferences also attract male allies who play an important role in advancing women in STEM. All are welcome at WE Local.

Registration for WE Local Buffalo includes:

  • Two full days of conference admission, including keynotes, educational sessions, and workshops
  • Access to the career fair on Saturday, April 9, 2022

Maybe you’re more of a writer and would like to build a writing portfolio or work on your science communication skills? Either way, there’s a spot for you on the Scientista team. Remote work, flexible scheduling, mentoring opportunities, free symposium registration, and a great network are only a few of the perks. All internships are available for course credit if applicable through your University.

Scientista strongly believes in the value that diversity brings to all of its teams. Therefore, we highly encourage applications from individuals who identify as racial and ethnic minorities, indigenous, undocumented, LGBTQIA+, disabled, first-generation, and/or part of other marginalized groups. We strive to create an inclusive and supportive environment for everyone to achieve their potential and to work toward our shared mission of fostering a more diverse, inclusive, equitable, and supportive STEM community.
