This training program will provide the qualified candidate an opportunity to become bridge inspector. The position involves assisting in performing bridge inspection in Queens County, NY.

Architectural Student Intern

Upperclassman Internship

CannonDesign has an exciting temporary opportunity for an Architectural Student Intern based in our New York City office. We are an integrated global design firm that unites a dynamic team of architects, engineers, strategists, futurists, researchers, and industry specialists driven by a singular goal – to help solve our clients’ and society’s greatest challenges.

This internship will provide students with an opportunity to be a member of our multi-disciplinary team.  Under the supervision of a project leader the primary responsibilities may include the following:

  • Contribute to the design process by utilizing various software platforms in addition to REVIT such as, the Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino, Sketch-up, and Grasshopper.
  • Build physical building models.
  • Produce architectural documentation.
  • Produce graphics materials and images for client presentations.
  • Assist in product research.
  • Participate in the review of construction phase documentation.
  • Attend in-house project team meetings.
  • May perform other duties as required.

Qualified candidates must be enrolled in an accredited program working toward a Bachelor or Master degree of Architecture. Summer College Intern

All Architecture Students

Along with these professionals, we are privileged to collaborate with twenty-six City agencies who attend to the needs of New Yorkers throughout the five boroughs.

Public Buildings designs, renovates and builds libraries, museums, police precincts, and firehouses. The Architecture & Engineering (A&E) Unit provides project scope development, design review, and in-house design. Project Controls Unit supports DDC in completing projects on time and on budget using industry best practices in managing cost and schedules.
Minimum Qual Requirements
As of June of the Program year the prospective interne must be a student matriculated in a college or be a recent college graduate (winter/spring term of the Program year).
NOTE: Appointment to this title is only valid for the duration of the Program, June – August each year.

Preferred Skills:
The program is geared toward students majoring in engineering, architecture, construction management, urban planning and/or sustainability design, entering sophomore/junior/senior or 5th Year Program in college, or in graduate school.
