Producers of Digital Media- Sabrina Martinez

                While discussing in class about all the different major companies that own or have partnership in our everyday good and services we the people use, to my surprise I noticed that major companies like Time Warner, Disney and NBC control a lot of the small businesses and their services.  While reading Pavlik’s, “Producers of Digital Media” it fascinated me to know that many news cast and newspapers use photos and videos that are uploaded by the public. Now with 4G technology it amazes me how fast breaking news spreads.  While watching the 2012 Olympic Games, it was a disappointment that I would find out which athletes won gold metal even before I tuned into the actual sport via Twitter.  Technology can be a good thing, as well as a bad thing.  Many parents do not have control over what their children watch via internet because data is being updated every second by your average person who can simply upload a video.
