Disney Classes

I really enjoyed experiential learning and human resource management classes here in Disney. At first, I thought these classes were easy but I was mistaken. Disney classes are just like any other course at City Tech where there is a strict attendance policy, exams, quizzes, presentations, boring lectures and essays. I am happy to announce that I passed both classes and earned two Disney certificates.

The experiential learning class is a fun class but I just thought that there is not enough content to teach students. The big topic in this class is the learning style type theories and we did various types of in-class activities like playing different games in different stations (card games, coloring, Sudoku, puzzles, etc.) and we visited EPCOT as part of the learning as an education part. On the other hand, human resource management class is a boring lecture setting but I get to learn many aspect of human resource management like staffing, training and development, motivation and maintenance.

At the end of both classes, my group did a presentation of our chosen topics. For experiential learning class, I presented the company called Michaels as a learning organization. This shows that a company like Michaels is committed to change and create new products to meet market demands. Next, the topic my group presented was Amazon in our human resource management class. I talked about how Amazon does their recruitment process and their history. A week later, I picked up my two certificates and have no regrets of taking both classes.
