Weekly Reflective Journal 9

This week was the first time I got trained as a runner and I placed in the villas. This was the first time for me to work at the villas so I didn’t know my way around at all. It took me a couple of hours before I got use to the layout of the villas and where each storage section was at. Prior to coming to the villas, I didn’t know there was only 1 runner in the villas and I saw how much things a runner needs to do especially when it’s a busy day. The morning were definitely slower than the afternoon. Once guests started checking in, that was when the runner get busy because she had to get everything for guest that were requesting items and pickup items from all the housekeepers. I haven’t been trained as a runner in the lodge but I am pretty confident it is a lot harder in the villas because there is only 1 runner.
