Read and React #1

Tradition week was very interactive and fun to start an orientation. I did not know what to expect, in a large room full with other future cast members. It was a bit overwhelming and nervous. I drank a lot of water to calm my nervous, and even whispered to the girl next to me in the table “I am a nervous wreck”. About ten minutes later, two gentlemen introduce themselves. With plenty of enthusiasm, they explain the standards and the important “Four Keys” of the organization. This made me feel important and keep the magic alive.
Throughout the day we as a group of five people, explored Magic Kingdom and backstage of the theme park. Other cast members, behind the stage even kept the magic alive and shared their pixy’s dust with our group! They high fived us, walking by! It was exciting to adventure Magic Kingdom and it was a chance to observe the Four Keys throughout the theme park. The four keys are Safety, Courtesy, Show and Efficiency. These are the keys to unlock the secret behind Walt Disney’s success.
The article “Create Company Loyalty with New-Hire Practices” by Tasha Freidlein talks about the procedure of new employees. It is important for a company successfully to train their staffs. It set the companies standards and when new cast members come, they quickly understand what the company expects from you. You learn the requirements and responsibilities of the company and how they been successful at it. Training is a great tool to have strong members apart of a successful company.
