Journal #8

I must say, I haven’t really enjoyed my CP experience thus far. Odd enough, my favorite part of the journey is work. I get to make magic and make people’s days. Everything else is just a bother. Not having a car, and traveling to patterson for classes is a drag. I really regret taking classes and being enrolled as a full time student during my CP. It is honestly too much work for me considering I am so immersed in work.

Thankfully, I am home for Thanksgiving. I am lucky to have parents who want to see me often, and are willing to fly me home. This is the 4th time I have seen them during my program, and it is great. It gives me a break from my typical Orlando anxiety and gives me a taste of reality. I missed my girlfriend, my family, and of course my car. Even though it feels great to be home right now, I am kind of excited to be at work during the holidays. I have a great time at work, and I really enjoy the people I have met. It is odd because I know every face of DAAR Landscapes of Flavor. I have worked the night shift just as often as I worked the morning shift, so every leader, coordinator, and cast member interacts with me. I am kind of the DAAR nomad.

I havent managed to go to the parks as often as I would like, but my mother’s family was in Orlando last week and we went to Magic Kingdom. Here is a beautiful photo of the castle last week!

  1. Oh nooooo. So sad to hear! We’ve seen each other twice and both times at dancing events haha. I hope you college program has gotten better. I know how you feel about not having a car down here. I feel so stuck! Disney can get hectic at times but remember is worth it. I wish my parents will fly me to new york geesh. Holidays should be intense! I look forward to it.
