This course examined the aesthetics of major fashion designers from the 19th to the 21st centuries through lectures and studies of museum clothing collections. Every week, Merchant and her peers discussed current events in the fashion industry and wrote blogs on them. By completing this course, Merchant gained a lot of knowledge about historic fashion influences with application to contemporary and future fashion apparel.
