“Have you ever heard the saying, it’s not what you know but who you know”? Well it’s a rather tired out expression that has been told to me during my undergrad studies. Networking becomes more crucial for designers being that it’s a career that is competitive and it’s where you can enjoy being creative while being rewarded with competitive pay. I never really gave importance to the saying and just had it lingering behind my mind until now.” This is the beginning of my essay on how my first networking event went.
