While deciding what film I would illustrate as a film illustration poster based on a live-action film or a documentary, I selected my all-time childhood favorite documentary that holds a special heart to emperor penguins and one of my favorite animals, “March of the Penguins.” For my final piece, I used watercolor and winter ice textures from the official Adobe Website on the Photoshop page for the sea, the sky, the glaciers and ice surfaces, and emperor penguins. Blending was a challenge for me and selecting the right colors to give out contrasts and shadows too. I really had fun making this landscape piece and turning it into an illustrated film poster.
