Hello managers for this week’s class you will do two assignments; one, update your resume to tailored to fit the stagehand job description. I suggest you Use the Resume Rubric to guide you on your resume writing. The other assignment is a task you would need to do as an employer looking to hire a stagehand.
We will be using everyone’s resumes next week during the evaluation portion of the hiring assignments. I have included a Job description outline as a guide. The position you are writing the resume for is stagehand.
I included a lecture in this section from career seminar on how to prepare for an interview. The information is relevant for your preparation to read resumes. Getting ready for an interview lecture video. Understanding the candidates side of the table will help you create skills to be on the other side of the interview table. The lecture for preparing to read and evaluate resumes is Reviewing resumes lecture. You will need to watch both videos before doing your assignments.
Go to the assignments tab, resume assignment for information on how to create your stagehand resume.
Go back to black board and do two assignments in the assignments tab, hiring folder, the first is called Resume for stagehand position. Turn in your updated resume here. Also post it to the discussion board for use in next weeks class session.
Second create a chart to use during your interview sessions next week. Turn in on the assignments tab, hiring folder, hiring questions assignment.
