Welcome to my e portfolio my name is Yamile Bonifacio .I am a bilingual student from the Dominican republic but was raised in the Bronx , NY. I went to Dewitt Clinton high school in the Bronx. I am currently attending New York city college of technology As a little girl I always liked doodling and drawing sketches in the margins of my notebook.I drew self portraits of my teachers, did my own holiday cards and even designed canvass art for my room wall. I began to get recognition from my friends and my peers and my mother encouraged me to pursue the art field. I didn’t think of pursuing art for a career at the time. As I grew older into my high school years I started to appreciate art more by seeing work on social media and started to consider going to New York city college of technology to pursue design .
I began to become inspired by artist like Shephard Fairey and Banksy for some of their work and the message they send without words to society inspired me because that was always the part of art that motivated me. Also seeing cartoons when I was younger and the joy it brought me also made me consider taking design and art seriously. As I progressed in my studies at city tech typography and magazine design have really Interested me and caught my attention as well as illustration and advertising although my Interests are broad I just know art and design is something I love doing.
