This week at DCAS we have been working on an event called customer service week. Customer service week is a week dedicated to customers, clients etc and they are appreciated with a breakfast ad lunch and appreciated and rewarded. Customer service week had been a week where for the first time I collaborated on a project at department of citywide administrative services as an intern. During the duration of this project, I worked with 2 other designers who animated and did logo designs. My task was to make banners for the pillars and walls for the events along with flyers promoting the event throughout the municipal building. I also had to mount and trim the poster and signs for the event. The communication between the other designers was very effective, mainly because our desks are close and they are very nice and open minded. The event was a success. The designs were effective throughout all spectrums. the logo was animated in the background of the stage projector in a subtle way that wasn’t distracting. The designs of the logo and the banners were professional looking, it made the event look like high end designers made them. However, what was not successful was some other design shop, printed the logo on promotional items such as stress relief balls, bags etc. and the color scheme differed and the logo was missing the circular element which threw off the consistency in our designs.
