Variety of food

“The prices of Wegmans compared to a well known supermarket like Whole Foods are on par but slightly cheaper. Unlike Trader Joe’s, Wegmans carries major food brands as well as its own store brand, and unlike Whole Foods, those major brands aren’t limited to organic or niche foods. Like any store, I expected prices to vary from competitors’ depending on the product, so I didn’t think Wegmans would be universally cheaper or more expensive than what I’d find elsewhere. There are some aspects where Whole Foods would have the cheaper option but when it comes to variety, Wegmans is king.”

With the development of the Wegmans, Vinegar Hill residents now have an organic supermarket within proximity to their homes. Prices of produce and other foods are yet to be determined but compared to already opened wegman supermarkets, it should be affordable to vinegar hill residents.

“With 50,000 to 70,000 products (in the largest stores), compared to an average of just over 40,000 (according to the Food Marketing Institute) in most supermarkets. More than 3,000 organic products throughout the store. Stores run 75,000 to 140,000 square feet in size, with spacious aisles.”http://www.myweeklyads.net/wegmans-weekly-ad-august-21-august-27-2016/

With the new supermarket opening up, resident families will have many food departments to choose from. It isn’t determined who can afford what because the supermarket hasn’t been built yet. From a speculative point, the residents of vinegar hill will benefit from it nonetheless.
