The 80’s design is returning to modern times in many unique ways, and it’s no surprise why. The striking duotones color variations combined with retro Vaporwave visuals and elements leave many interesting concepts to be made. In the article “80’s Design is Alive, Well and Living in 2019”, Nadja Sayej talks about how Robyn Lange and Shutterstock’s creative team analyzed what people were looking for and showed multiple “trends” relating to the 80’s designs, typography and nostalgic essence. Modern day media shows a revision in 80’s design like this one individual named Bruno Pego and his retro aesthetics. In the article, Bruno says “The 1980s were daring in various spheres, known for breaking paradigms,” he later adds on how he finds the 80’s to be rich and nostalgic in its aesthetics, later creating his own way of vaporwave back in 2016. This isn’t the only time where the 80’s design has resurfaced as social media is also taking its turn in creating filters to simulate types of 80’s aesthetics such and Instagram and Snapchat. Many artists are using this to create art to further show the 80’s designs by showing glowing grids, glitches and cyberpunk like themes which also uses duotones and pattern clashing
