livewell- Dariah

I do hot yoga and other forms of exercise. Livewell motivated me to continue to make a schedule for my exercise days in my planner. I especially enjoy hot yoga classes so that I am in tune with my body and it gives me time to take my mind off of daily/weekly stress. When I sweet I feel as though my body is being refreshed and this  encourages me to make heather choices.

LiveWell-session-1-Exercise

As i read and do the questionnaire , I found that I am staying in contemplation and Preparation level . Yes , I find me out that i am not  taking care of my health enough, But it is positive to me that I intend to start exercise soon. Actually I always try to eat healthier food but I could not manage my time to spend on swimming or running.  I wish I could maintain my healthy life by starting running on the street soon. I read an article running on the street is better than using treadmill.

Dear classmate,

I was so impressed with all your  posts and steps you took to live well, so I decided to do the first step toward exercising. I bought my first sneakers in 5 years.

Livewell-Exercise

From the Livewell survey, I am happy to discovered that I am on the Maintenance stage for healthy eating and Stress management, but it also exposed that I need to focus on the Exercise. Also, Livewell survey suggests me to meet the friend who exercised. So I join the cricket club.

LiveWell Session 1

I learned that I was working out but not enough I can easily fall back into not working out at all. I am a full time student and have an internship and also a part-time job so it is difficult to have the energy to workout sometimes. I have tried this new thing where I will put my workout clothes in a bag and leave it in my car so I feel guilty for not working out and I go straight from class or work to the gym. I usually wear my workout clothes to class and that makes me motivated to right after but on the days when I have work I skip the gym. This has been working so far and it is hard but I want to give it my best.

Live Well

eh.. I wish I could say I’ve listened to my live well suggestions but I haven’t 🙁 It is a great site with great feedback and ofcourse it knows me so well (as it was spot on with the feedback). I should be working on managing my stress, that’s my biggest issue. I really don’t like exercising, I do however plan to fit some yoga or meditation into my life..which should help me manage stress better!

Active Minds

Active Minds is a health and wellness initiative that attempts to help college students make better life choices. I looked at their instagram page in an effort to gain a better understanding of their message. From what I saw on their page they promote positivity and mental health. They promote an environment that encourages others to share and feel as though they are not alone.

More Steps

Lately in an effort to be more active I try to achieve a goal of 6.000 steps a day. I keep track of my activity with the use of my apple watch and the activity app.
