Spring 2015

In this project I had strength and weaknesses. The whole point of this project was basically to pick a organic item and turn it into different forms of drawings. For instance, illustration drawing, image related graphic, concept related graphic and arbitrary graphic.I decided to pick a rose because it has interesting features that caught my attention. For instance the color and shape.

The strength and success about this project was drawing the symbols of the image. What made this my strength was the fact that the drawing didn’t have to be a detailed drawing. In other words drawing shapes shapes was only necessary. However the challenges was illustrating the organic image I choose. Basically drawing every detail of it and shading the parts where the picture or the organic item was either dark or light.

In this project I had strength and weaknesses. The whole point of this project was basically to draw one specific shape in different sizes. After drawing the shapes connecting or touching each other and at the same time paint the shapes with mixing of colors is the next step. My success was drawing the shape.

      However the challenge was painting the shapes because when mixing two colors from the two different shapes, the color needed to be light or dark depending on how light and dark the other colored shapes were. In other words the mixing of the two colors from the two shapes had to be accurate.  One had to be darker then the other.

In this project I had strength and weaknesses. The whole point of this project was basically to draw a design with lines curves and shape that had a meaning. The success of the project was already having an ideas of what to draw and its meaning. In this project I had an idea of drawing the sun, space, storm and rain. I felt like they all had a significant role.

My challenges were figuring out how to draw my ideas. Especially when I had to use one shape to draw what I had in mind which made it difficult. Another challenge of mine was trying  not to leave any open spaces when drawing my ideas.Overall this was my least favorite project.
