Hospitality Trade Publication Summary Reaction Paper
Select an article from one of the following hospitality trade publications. Write a one-page summary with a reaction. The article selected must be from a current issue (January of this year to present) and must be relevant to food procurement or food safety, not equipment or alcoholic beverages. Do not select articles about wine or restaurant reviews. These publications are all available in the City Tech library.

All Summary-Reaction Papers must follow the APA format explained in the departmental writing style statement. In the first paragraph, summarize the contents of the selected article. Outline key points of the article. Note the relevance to food procurement or food safety in a food-service setting. Then develop and discuss your own viewpoint (reaction) by agreeing or disagreeing with the author, noting relevant examples or appropriate anecdotes. Attach a photocopy of the article after the assignment in the upper left hand corner.
A Note on Plagiarism ~ As stated in the college handbook, “plagiarism is the act of presenting another person’s ideas, research, or writings as your own.” Plagiarism will not be tolerated.
