Street photography is a fine topic for the final project. Remember that street photography means unposed shots of people in public who do not necessarily know that they are being photographed.
Photographs of streets with no people are urban landscape.
Either way, if you want to do street photography or if you want to do urban landscape, pick a specific area or neighborhood.
