Alex on where can you find these chemicals on?

I went to a networking event called Sustainability crash. There was three session that I attended. The first session was on fashion forward which was talking about how clothing needs to be checked before coming into united states. Alex Mcnair talked about hazardous chemicals that affect the body. We watched a video also about how leather is bad for workers in Bangladesh. It causes a lot of diseases like skin cancer, and kids get affected the most because there is no hygiene.  It’s important for us to know what can you do. I also believe in making a change in global movement is important. This is where you support the health all around in the world through clothes.

Talking about his website and explaining why is beneficial.

The second session was on story website which can be used to tell your brand story on and have people look at your work. The only thing I found weird was that each storytelling has its link.  But if you look at square space, it does everything on one page, but a story has different links. I liked the idea of having new generation experience something like this because everything today is visual and interactive. This way it gives a new generation a chance to explore new ways of getting there work out in the world.  He also explained anything you want to show to your audience you need to have a story. I would say his idea works small brands that need promotion of there brand. Story app could definitely get your brand out there for people.  He explained why he emphasizes story a lot in his product because of story work 8x better and it allows the consumer to relate what you are trying to say.

Grammer – selling a white shirt

The last session I attended was on a company called Grammer.  She also had a tagline for her brand what you wear tells who you are. She talked about fiber farming and how pesticides poison. So many deaths happen in a year.  She mentioned a lot of facts on chemicals and textile dyeing. She is reinventing the white shirt and use to as change style with one color. She makes them in New York and uses no toxic and 71% less water. She gets her cotton from India that too 100% grown in the fields. She also said 70% of the organic cotton is grown in India.  I like the idea of how she has this company but I feel she should invest in different colors and also have a shirt at low prices.
