Participation Activity
Discussion Board Title: Curiosity and Education
(Due any time before 10 am on Tuesday, Oct. 6 for attendance credit)
On the class Discussion Board, write two paragraphs exploring the ideas presented in the two readings in this post:
- In your first paragraph, consider one question or area of interest that you have always wanted to know more about. (You’ll be thinking about research questions soon so this is building toward that end.)
- In your second paragraph, consider and respond to Baldwin’s statement: “To ask questions of the universe, and then learn to live with those questions, is the way [the student] achieves [their] own identity.” What does Baldwin mean by this statement? What does this statement mean for you?
- Each paragraph can be around 4-5 sentences….though you can certainly write more!
