This semester’s Intro to the Fashion Industry (BUF 1101-D105) has been an immersive dive into the world of fashion. In each class, we uncovered the intricate layers of fashion enterprises and the roles of key players like designers and merchandisers. We also examined how technology shapes 21st-century fashion and influences global trends. Throughout the semester, we delved deep into fabric terminology and consumer behavior, essential for crafting effective merchandising strategies. Fashion forecasting emerged as a pivotal aspect of shaping collections and merchandise. Beyond the classroom, BUF 1101 sharpened my critical thinking and communication skills, culminating in a research paper. Reflecting on this journey, I’ve gained a profound understanding of the fashion industry and am fueled with passion for its endless possibilities.
