Livewell Session 2

In my second session of Livewell, I have come to a decision that it is time for me to eat right and not make excuses anymore because of my busy schedule. It has been hard for me to cook due to my late work hours and school schedule. Now is the moment for me to take charge of my eating habits and I will do this on my trip to Trader Joes. On my trip to Trader Joes I purchased a couple of salads to take with me to work for lunch. Doing this for the last couple of days has eliminated me buying fast food from the local restaurants. I would rather cook but this is more convenient for me right now. I am grateful for the Livewell program because it is starting me on the right path on what I should be eating in order to live a healthy life.


Livewell Session11

After I completed session two I realized I felt short from the first session. I am a working progress with determination to stay healthy and to open up a little more when there is an issue that is bothering me. As I read in the exercise stress and how it can affect our well being I am more than determine to open up more so that certain issues don’t stress me out. And keeping with maintaining a healthy life style I have decided to jug five days a week.

Live Well Session 2

I had been maintaining my exercise in swimming since last session and currently eating a slight healthier. I try to maintain no eating carbs at nighttime but sometime I crave for sweets. The sweets helps me maintain and manage my stress. Once I have more free time, I will be more active on going to gym and eating healthier.

Live Well, Session 2

Even though I am in Action and Maintenance phase, after session 2, I have to be honest, I gained weight while the winter season. I need workout to lose pounds that I gained. I prefer jogging and exercising   in the park next to my house. Working all day in the musk, I feel luck of oxygen, so I need more fresh air. Also, in the summer time every Sunday I rent a bicycle, and make a ride around Central Park. These ridings are charging me with the positive emotions and energy for the next working week. I cannot complain on my eating habits, because I eat a lot of fruits and vegetables, fish and grains. I just need to stop to eat ice cream and candies, which I used to eat to manage my stress.

 

Live Well session 2

Session 2 of Live Well has great tips on eating healthy and choosing your foods wisely.  Already on my fourth month into my diet, I’ve been practicing healthy eating along with daily work-outs that sometimes extends to two full hours or more. I’m a firm believer, and through known facts that no matter how strenuous or lengthy your workout is a difference will not be noticed unless the diet changes with the workouts – its imperative to follow a strict diet and Live Well has vital information that can help with a healthier diet. I was placed in the “Action” phase of the ladder and will continue with my diet until my goal has been achieved.

I have changed my eating habits to more of a clean way of eating.Live well taught me to eat more greens.Before I was only eating fast food, since sticking with eating more greens I have lost 5 pounds, not only am I eating well but I am walking more, parking my car from a distance to walk to work.

Live Well session 2 by yasmine

Every time I do the exercises on Live Well I found that I fall in the preparation stage in physical activity. So I decided to move forward and maintain my exercise weekly regardless my busy schedule and my tiredness. I focused on days and times I don’t feel so tired and more energetic. I continued exercising with the pre-k kids during their movement and music hours, which is two or three times a week depend on the teacher. With changing weather I start to walk to work and from few days a week. Eating healthy still in maintenance stage which I am proud of .

Live Well Session 2

I am still in the maintenance phase.  My intake of vegetables and fruits have increased while my carb intake has decreased.  I must admit that I have fallen off a little bit due to the heavy school load which prevented me from having time  from going to gym.  Now with free time on my hand, I am able to pick up where I left off  and continue.   Hopefully by the end of the semester or within the next few weeks, I will continue to see changes and hopefully I will reach where I would like to be.

LiveWell Session 2

I haven’t progress much since the first session of LiveWell. It is hard to manage a healthy lifestyle when my schedule is overwhelmed with responsibilities. I have no time for additional tasks. Most of the time I feel extremely exhausted. However, I do plan on managing my stress after I graduate in June. I will go back to the gym and prep healthier meals.

Live Well Session 2

My progress with exercising is going very well. I find myself scheduling early classes to start my day. Its a boost of energy. I am trying my best in adding the fruits and vegs to my every day eating.  I’m in the preparation stage so when I eat them more than half the week, I’m excited.  I do great when I exercise cause it goes hand in hand but when I am busy and running out of time its so difficult to find resources that can fill that. I’ve been trying to cook and bring food to work. I found myself the other day on a street fruit stand. Although they are not my favorite cause the thought of them sitting outside all day is gross, it was a quick fix and I felt satisfied.
