After the younger Douglass loses him mistress as his teacher ,what strategies does he practices, to continue learning to read?who does he turn to for help?how does he persuade them to help him?
Learning to read has tormented douglass by showing him how horrible his situation is and is overall showed his freedom. He suffered from frustration. this shows me that he saw these white boys in the street and he converted them into teachers, so he could learn from them since their mistress stopped teaching him.
The book helps Douglass to fully articulate the case against slavery, but it also makes him hate his masters more and more.
