Chapter 5: “Being pushed out of your comfort zone”

Back to the drawing board. Once I got the idea of what CEO was looking after the meeting while disappointed but not surprised that the first design was rejected. I then looked at more inspiration while following the same minimalist style but a little different in the sense where more saturated colors were used and focusing on being eye-catching. I was also inspired by Swiss design because that style of graphic design was minimalist but was eye-catching as well. I also looked at designs styles that are popular for business websites and from those picked things that would help to design the personal site. Once I gathered everything for the second design. I then created more sketches than the last time so that way it gives me more design ideas and more options for the CEO to look at in the future.

I think this time the design won’t be rejected, or at least I will be told that I am getting somewhere. I have to say though while designing can be somewhat stressful, I don’t want to stop doing it, there’s the fun in having a challenge because you’re being pushed out of your comfort zone and you have no choice but to go to new territory, and there’s great fun in being in the unknown.
