Once I had gathered enough observations on what could be added to the company’s website and current design trends, I received notification through slack from the chief of staff saying that she had a new assignment for me and would like to talk briefly through google hangout. Once I got online, she told me to “change my gears,” instead of improving the company’s website, I will be working on the editor in chief’s site — something that many graphic design interns have done before me but never has been officially completed because things would unfortunately change last minute. This was something that I found interesting because it was a challenge for me and I felt as though this was something that I could achieve. I fantasized about the feeling of achievement I would think if I was the first graphic design intern to overcome this challenge. I was determined to complete this.
