  1. I really like ur poster it looks really nice. I like your font choices it really gives off those cop show vibes. It’s really well organized.

    1. Nice work Or! I love the overall mood you are creating with colors and type.
      A couple of thoughts:
      1. White type on black bg is generally harder to read. Your body copy might be more readable with a sans serif.
      2. I think all your subsections could use a header to clarify content
      3. Not sure the graphic of human DNA being 99% similar is so relevant for your topic.
      Looking forward to discussing tomorrow!

  2. I really like this concept, it looks like a political ad sort of which isn’t a bad thing, it definitely gets the message across. Good job 🙂

  3. Or – I love the mood that you are setting with your color scheme, texture and overall tone.
    Here are my thoughts:
    1. I think you should give a little more basic background information about what Forensic DNA.
    2. I think you don’t provide enough information about the how Forensic DNA depends on active and accessible data bases. You cite GEDMatch but there are others and it seems odd to feature one (including branding) over others. Maybe you should refer to them more generally as ‘genetic genealogy websites.’ I think your poster would also benefit from providing more context about why such genealogy sites present a certain amount of risk to user’s privacy, in that they may unknowingly be subjecting their DNA to law enforcement and other governmental and corporate interests.
    3. Your section on Cold Cases could also benefit from slightly more context. I think you should define what a Cold Case is. Can you find any numbers (stats) on how many current cold cases exist in the United States or maybe particular States? And maybe also how many cases have been resolved to date thanks to Forensic DNA? I think showing such those numbers would make for a more informative info graphic than the photo and names of two cases that have been resolved.
    4. I like your last section – ‘Forensic DNA Steps’ and wonder if you could add a touch more information here, maybe some sort of timeline or bulleted list detailing (outlining) certain technological advances that have been made in collecting and identifying DNA since 1980, and making it increasingly sophisticated and accurate.
    5. Also if take out the two photos from the Cold Case section and feel like you need more graphic elements, look back to your inspiration folder in the google drive. You had collected some excellent ideas for possible iconography that could work well to visualize some of your text:
