Assignment Overview:

In this assignment, students will take on the role of social advocates and designers, working to create a series of impactful PSA posters or digital ads that address a pressing social or environmental issue. Through their design choices and compelling messaging, students will be challenged to raise awareness, promote understanding, and inspire action for positive change preferences.

Assignment Components:

1. Issue Selection and Research (10%)

  • Choose a specific social or environmental issue that resonates with the team.
  • Conduct in-depth research to understand the issue’s root causes, impacts, and potential solutions.

2. Visual Design and Messaging (30%)

  • Design a series of PSA posters or digital ads that capture attention and communicate the issue’s urgency.
  • Use imagery, color, typography, and layout to evoke emotions and resonate with the audience.
  • Craft clear and persuasive messaging that motivates action and change.

3. Target Audience Analysis (15%)

  • Analyze the characteristics, interests, and concerns of the intended audience.

4. Campaign Strategy and Implementation (25%)

  • Develop a campaign strategy that outlines where and how the PSA materials will be disseminated (online, public spaces, social media, etc.).

Key Components:
