Seamless: These ads use a consistent eye catching yet relatively simple color palette of primary colors and can be found mainly in public transportation, specifically on trains. Their target audience is likely passengers on their way home, aiming to suggest consumers to order delivery from Seamless when they arrive at their destination. The brand also promotes features in their advertising such as unlimited free delivery and exclusive rewards to increase appeal

I chose Ralph Lauren and the designs that are posted on a wall along the highway in Dubai. The brand shows that its products are about reaching their luxury consumers. When thinking about the colors that they used they are displayed over a black background which will make everything stand out and switches back and forth with light and dark colors. It shows that they have products for kids and adults ranging from sweaters and jackets to adult suits and hats.

DESIGN

  • Shepard Fairey’s poster/billboard series uses designs that incorporate high contrast, stylized portraiture of Muslim, African-American, and Latina women in the colors of the flag of America. Underneath the images is a bold yet simple proclamation of “WE THE PEOPLE” in a serif font with a motivational phrase underneath it that demonstrates hope and integrity

MESSAGE

  • I believe these designs were made in response to the intolerance and bigotry perpetuated during Donald Trump’s presidency, and they seek to truly represent the diversity of cultures and backgrounds that actually make America good.

TARGET AUDIENCE

  • The audiences intended to be reached by these posters are definitely American, but most notably Americans that have more liberal political leanings and value the contributions of both women and different minority groups.
