I think writing this Portrait was rather easy in terms of sharing my experiences and feelings. The word I chose is deeply rooted in the discourse community I’m apart of, so I found it easy to talk about. But because of this, my portrait felt like a whole diary page, and I don’t know if that’s exactly a good thing. What I wish to improve upon in my portrait is to include different experiences from other people and a bit more research to solidify the explanation of my “word”. When doing the workshop, I felt reassured that my point came across, but despite this, I feel like I can further improve this piece. I’ll possibly look over the structure of my portrait, and see which sections need more information or more varied personal experiences.
