The 2020 presidential election, held on Tuesday, November 3, 2020, was the most distressing day as Americans patiently waited to see who would get elected as our next president.

As my proposed topic for unit 2, I will be sharing the importance of this election and what it means to the people of America, including the issues encountered with it. I am interested in this topic since it plays a significant role in our future, particularly for the young generation due to situations such as racial inequality, climate change, and gun violence.

Many agree on not engaging in conversation about the election, but I think it’s important to discuss the shift that our country might go through. While presenting my topic, I would like to find some answers to my questions regarding how this presidential election will benefit us and what we can learn from this to improve future elections.
