DICE

DICE

The Diversity and Inclusion in the Curriculum and Education (DICE) subcommittee of College Council Curriculum Committee encourages the incorporation of diversity and inclusion in the curriculum and in the college’s overall educational practices because they are valuable elements of an intellectually, socially, and culturally relevant education, because they develop important knowledge and skills that will benefit residents of a diverse urban center, and because they prepare students to be successful leaders, professionals, civic partners in the city, country and world.

Literary Arts Festival

Each year, the English Department at New York City College of Technology organizes the Literary Arts Festival. This event highlights the work of students, staff, and faculty, as well as accomplished writers outside of the City Tech community. There is also a writing competition that awards prizes to students in a variety of writing categories, as well as to faculty and staff in their own category.

Words Have Lives

Words Have Lives

A composition and grammar source for students who want to write stronger papers. While topics here are produced in direct response to class discussions and interactions with students regarding specific writing concerns, they also are relevant to all students wishing to understand how to fix their own writing and gain a sense of how their writing questions are shared with others going through the same learning process.
