Weekly Journal #1

I am about a week into my college program, and I am L O V I N G it! This is my second program, my first was in the spring of 2016. In the past two years, there has been many changes within the program that I have noticed. First off, my check-in was at the apartment complex that I reside in which is Commons. On my last program, everyone had to check-in at Vista and then make their way to whichever complex they were staying in. I think changing the check-in was much more efficient for us CP’s.

After check-in, I moved into my apartment and went to onboarding at Casting. At casting I took an ID picture for my Blue ID and got fingerprinted. This was also a very quick and smooth process. I was in an out of casting in 30 minutes, it was perfect! I had to the rest of the day to get to know my roommates. I have 2 roommates. We are in a 1 bedroom, 3 bed apartment. During my last program I lived in a 6 person, 2 bedroom apartment so I was already used to living with two others in my room. Luckily, it didn’t take much adjusting.

I chose to do random roommates which worked out well for me! My roommates are Angel & Ivan. Angel is from Puerto Rico and Ivan is from Miami. Both are very kind and we seem to all get along very well.

So far I have endured Traditions where I received my name tag & Blue ID and my first day of training at Disney University. Both were very educational and informational. I have learned so much already and can’t wait to see where the rest of the program takes me! I have settled in quite nicely and haven’t had any setbacks so far. Looking forward to next 4 months!
