We were given the task of doing a safety inspection at a park of our choosing for my Human Resource management class. The park audit listed important things like locating the safety precautions set by Disney when the floor is wet, or the locations of fire extinguishers and the first aid station. During our trip we came across the hottest commodity in Disney parks this year: Rose gold minnie ears. They first rolled out in late August and instantly flew off the shelves. I was lucky and managed to purchase 10 at the discounted price before they became out of stock that day. Even as of December, the rarity of these head accessories on the shelves are like finding a needle in a hay stack. Then we decided participate in the show “Flights of Wonder.” A bird show where the audience member can go up on stage and have bird fly over their heads. Fellow Cast member Joe captured the flight on his phone but from an audience point of view, the claws were definitely too close for comfort and felt like what could have been a safety hazard waiting to happen. However the bird trainers assured us that all avian are well trained and no mishaps have happened so far!
