“Transitioning into a leadership role: On-the-job Success strategies for newly promoted managers” by H careers. Gives us an insight on how to be able to advance in a job when you’re being giving the chance to take steps forward into greater positions.

Working in Sunset Ranch Market growing into bigger positions include, being a regular employee then becoming a stocker, after being a stocker for months then you would be able to speak to your leader and receive training to become a coordinator after becoming a coordinator is your chance to maybe become a leader which in the time I have been here has not happened but they have hired new leaders who had not been working in Sunset which in my opinion someone who had been working in Sunset as a regular employee, then a stocker and then a coordinator would probably know way more about the location than someone who just got hired to be a leader.

I believe that moving up in my location is actually pretty hard because I have met cast members who have been in the location for years and they still have not been able to move up. Becoming a trainer is a job that does not require much work, after being in the location for at least two months you could ask to be trained in order to become a trainer and that allows you to be paid a little more than regular employees get paid.

I believe if we as cast members saw more opportunity to rise in the Sunset location we would also look for the opportunity to rise to the challenges as it was said in the article. It is hard to stay enthusiastic about rising in a location when you see there is so much competition and it is so hard to rise. Team work makes the dream work therefore I adivse all of the cast members who want to move up in their location to keep a good leader and employee relationship and let them know you are trying to move up in the company in order for them to help you.

  1. Those who succeed may have not tried hardest but they were persistent. That make a difference. Never give up because something is hard.
