A Look into the “Get Down”

For my this research essay I analyzed the “Get Down” McDonald’s Ad campaign. The 1970’s launched a new era of African-American representation in media. What makes this most interesting is that this was the first time African-American designers were able to break into mainstream media. Taking a front row-seat in establishing how they thought African-Americans should be depicted.
