In this project, I’m talking about the problem with greenwashing and how design has the power to encourage people to view things in a certain way even if that is not how they truly are. Fashion brands use this power to appeal to the audience’s concerns about sustainability. Fast fashion brands try to make advertising that makes people feel like they need their clothes to keep up with trends while believing that their clothes are not damaging the environment. I also want to talk about whether this advertisement is ethical or if it’s okay for them to use these tactics.
