Lorenzo Petrantoni’s Encyclopedic Collages

In this research paper, I briefly talk about a Bio design that Lorenzo Petrantoni created. His unique black and white aesthetic style is what drew me towards choosing this design. It incorporates the sue of typography and images from encyclopedias from the 1800s. It was nice to see how he was able to incorporate the past while using present day techniques that designers talked about starting to use in the past. Petrantoni is a great example of how he would probably agree with the designers who wanted to do more than just a linear approach with typography. His designs are so unique to me.
