Josh Rojas NYC Tech Profiles “StartApp”
Product/Service: StartApp is a Mobile Advertising Platform aiming to deal with the two main concerns of the mobile industry today: the monetization challenge that application developers face when trying to generate substantial revenue from their applications, and application distribution earning a substantial number of downloads worldwide.
Founder/Co-Founders: Gil Dudkiewicz and Ran Avidan founded the company Start app and are still involved.
Office/Headquarters: This is StartApps Location584 BROADWAY ST 12TH FLOOR SUITE 1206NEW YORK, NY, 10012. StartApp also has locations in Russia, China, San Francisco and Israel.
Products/Services: It offers advertisers the opportunity to place their ads in different sites and apps that will generate the most revenue possible.
Method of Making Money: Startapp makes money by taking a percentage being made by the advertisers, and also using their own advertising.
Target Customers: StartApp targets its service to advertisers and designers.
How many current users/customers, etc: StartApp currently has over 300,000,000 million users on StartApp.
How does the company advertise its product/services?
StartApp advertises its service on the iOS and Andriod market, this is where they generate most of their money.
Competitors/Competitive Advantage: One company that competes with StartApp is Adroll, the difference between the two is that StartApp gives you a more in depth look at where to place your advertisement and how to make money.

Hey everyone my name is Josh Rojas. I transferred to City Tech from Bronx Community College where I received my associate’s degree. I have another semester left to earn my degree in Advertising and Graphic Design. Some of my hobbies are going to the gym, playing drums, designing for a YouTube channel with my friends and a bunch of other random things. I would like to work at an ad agency when I’m done with this school :D. My goal for the semester is to continue to grow as an individual. Link to YouTube channel below.

My strength as a writer is being able to research the right information. My weaknesses a writer is being able to expand on certain ideas. I like being able to express my ideas, I don’t like the amount of time writing takes. I am very tech savvy. I think technical writing may have to deal with learning how to write for the workplace. My expectation is that I will improve my writing skills and apply them to future tasks.
