Summary for “The Money” By Junot Diaz
Back in the days Dominicans will send the money home. The author’s mother save the money little by little. Maybe two, three hundred dollars, She send it home every 6 months or so. In the summer time when the author was twelve, the whole family went to vacation. and when they get back they found out that there home had been robbed. Robbery was not came as a huge surprise to them. In there neighborhood, cars and apartment were always getting jacked. So they get used to it what happened here. But as they are the immigrants to here, it’s eaiser to being targeted. The author’s mother took robbery seriously,she cursed to the people around her. The author find out that there were two dopes took his mothers money away actually two of his friends. So he unlatched the window after he asked for main dope for useing his bathroom, for the way that he can get inside his house afterwards. After he find an excuse and get back to the place He search out his own belongings and his mother’s envelope with money out ffrom there home. After he get back home, take him two days to give the envelope back to his mother. Because of guilts. And because he want to see the joy face shows on her face.
