Responsibilities: Assist Product Engineers in the engineering development and transformation of new design concepts into manufacturable products.
• Assist in designing products for cost effective manufacturing, utilizing processes such as injection molding, casting, sewing, wood machining, painting and various assembly and decoration techniques.
• Help apply new technologies, innovate, creatively solve problems and manage project schedules.
• Participate in formal and informal cross-functional team meetings with Engineers, Designers and Marketers which discuss all aspects of product design, development and marketing in preparation for a product’s successful production and release into worldwide markets.
• Communicate and coordinate with global business partners to assure successful completion of projects. Gain experience interfacing with overseas and North American manufacturing.
• Work within a fun and friendly consumer product design and development environment and learn how toys are created and refined for optimal safety, play-value, manufacture and reliability.
Experience, Education & Skills Qualifications:
• Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Career interest in consumer product design and development • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Good problem solving skills and strong mechanical aptitude
• Strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities • Ability to set and accomplish goals
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels (within and outside the organization)
Computer Skills: • Experience with MS Office Suite programs
• Pro-E and CAD experience is a plus
