The stool provides another texture outside of the grapes unlike the kitchen counter, giving the viewing something more to look at.

For these photos, I used an apple. I used the background to change the mood of the photo because the dark looks serious and makes the apple more pronounced, I tired to push the shadow out in lightroom subtly. The light just looks like its floating and gives a different feel. For the backgrounds, I used a cutting mat for the dark one, and for light, it is a glass table where the glass is frosted.
For the first picture, I used a white table as the background and for the second I used a leather chair. They are both in bird eye view. I think the white background makes the banana look more appealing.

I used cookies and two different mats to put the cookies on while I use light coming from behind the cookies somewhat and used a overhead or birds eye angle on the cookies.

I chose to photograph two slices of Italian bread. I think the white background looks more appetizing because the dark background makes the bread look older and darker. I think the white background also makes the bread look softer.
