Discussion 6: 2 Best Window light Portraits (HW 10)

The reason why I chose these 2 as the best ones of the 20 images is because I really like how light is captured on the portraits and how how it plays with some shadows as well bouncing off of my skin and shirt as well. I also love the atmosphere these two give off and how my glasses make some interesting reflections as well, especially the second image where there is some reflection as well. It was a hard pick, but I really think these are the best out of the 20 due to how they are and how very experimental as well.

LAB:10 Silhouette

1: For image 1 I made sure that the light was of course behind me and the light was not to distracting, and making sure the background is not to distracting as well, but I made sure the darks were there and really dark so it could make a clean silhouette.

2: For the second image I did pretty much the same thing that I did for the first image, but this one has a different pose and you get a little more out of the background especially with more of the tree coming through which I thought was good and not too distracting to the image as a whole.

LAB 10: Light Positions

Which lighting style was most difficult to create? Which gave you the best result ?

1: The most difficult Lighting style that was difficult to me was the Rembrandt Light because it took me some time to get the angle just right where there was a semi light triangle on my right (your Left) cheek. Plus I have glasses and I wanted to take a challenge.

2: I say the best result was from the short light because the light was perfect during the time of day for some light to come from the side while my ear in the frame is not lit from the light which is what was needed and I think it worked out.

LAB 9: Still Life

I picked this one because I felt that it shows off very good lighting for both plants. It kind of gives off a peaceful spring vibe which is the tone basically, but I made sure the light was not to harsh to not loose any details which I think worked fine. Overall I really enjoyed taking these pictures in different angles and just having fun.
