Bresson’s ideas on how compositional elements can come together in a decisive moment mentioned how he studies or observes the composition prior to shooting. The background can have sharp lines and shape and a subject that for examples slouches and doesn’t have the similar shape in movement at the background won’t compliment the other elements in the picture. Features such as wrinkles even provide an interesting element to the picture which is something most people would be embarrassed by.
