Podcast Analysis – Fan

The podcast attracts the audience by demonstrating a threat that might hurt the younger generation,  juuling. The investigator in the podcast interviewed anonymous students from Brooklyn Tech. They figure out that Juul is a vaping device like a USB which is easy to carry and cheap to refill with flavor pots. The background music in the podcast is way too loud and depressing, I can barely hear the information. It’s a short podcast in 3min. The effective audience might be people who are juuling, parents that are worried about vaping, people that are curious about juuling. These groups of people might be interested in listening to the podcast because they are curious about juuling or their descendants might be juuling. The podcast ends by asking questions like “What are the long-term health risks associated with smoking” and “when will this end”. I think the messages here are really leading you to think about juuling and reconsider if it is really good for your body because the podcast states “it goes through your body quicker than a cigarette.” If I am doing a podcast I will start the same way he does, with a social issue New report to be specific on the topic. I will try to avoid the loud volume of background music because I can’t hear anything when that BGM plays.
