Mzezewa, Tariro, and Ceylan Yeginsu. “Testing Requirement Is the Latest Curveball for the Travel Industry.” The New York Times, The New York Times, 26 Jan. 2021, https://www.nytimes.com/2021/01/26/travel/virus-testing-requirement-international.html?searchResultPosition=3.

A tourism board for Los Cabos had created a testing plan for traveling back to the United States. An example brought up in this article is Alyssa Flynn, a 29-year-old music teacher from New Jersey, who was traveling back to New Jersey. It is stated in the article that hours before her flight back she had gotten swab tested by a nurse in order for her to be eligible to travel back to the US. She had to show her results only once while traveling. There are 2 different test used for traveling internationally P.C.R. tests and Antigen test. It is stated that Antigen tests have been found to be less reliable than P.C.R. tests. Despite this information the United States still accepted results from rapid antigen tests while other countries didn’t accept them.  American travelers have also grown confident in traveling. Mexico and countries in the Caribbean are the most common places for Americans to travel because of their distance and affordability. This was stated int the article ‘Most Caribbean and Mexican resorts and airports offering testing will send guests an email or provide a printed piece of paper signed and stamped by health officials affirming the negative result.”  Even with these test and requirements there is still uncertainty with traveling.
