Wrapping up: online documentation project and presentations next week

Groups will present their online documentation projects on Tuesday 5/21 and Thursday, 5/23. If any groups would like to rehearse their presentations outside of class time, please contact me so we can find a time that works for everyone.

Groups presenting on Tuesday, 5/21:

Groups presenting on Thursday, 5/23:

Joe, Carlos, Jovianne

Virgilio, Ricardo, Bryan, Luis

Presentations will take place in A540, the big e-classroom in the library. Group members should arrive early to set up their presentations on the instructor computer. All groups must post a link to their project on the course site by by 2:30 pm on Thursday, 5/23; please make sure that your project site is public so that your classmates and I can access it.

Everyone must hand in a self evaluation and a group evaluation to me via email by the end of the day on Thursday, May 23; refer to the project guidelines or ask me if you have questions about the evaluations.

Groups for the online documentation project

Today everyone organized into groups for the online documentation project:

Erica, Tojo, Rob

Hamadi, Julissa, Shamekia

On Thursday 5/9 and both days next week we will meet in A540, the library’s e-classroom, so that groups can work on their projects. The class presentations will take place on May 21 and 23.

Remember that the final version of the research paper is due by 2:30 pm on Thursday, May 9! Please get in touch with any questions about the assignment.

Notes from today, and moving forward to the online documentation project

Today we reviewed some of your process documentation critiques that you blogged about for today. Then you paired up to map out a process documentation using bubbl.us, draw.io, or storyboardthat. Slides for today are available here.

On Tuesday we’ll discuss the group online documentation project. By the end of class we will have accomplished the following:

1.  review project guidelines
2.  form groups
3.  groups brainstorm project ideas & report to me
The final version of your research paper is due Thursday, May 9 by 2:30 pm; if you have questions, don’t wait until Wednesday night!

From May 9 – May 16 the class will meet in A540, the large e-classroom on the 5th floor of the library. Groups will use class time to work on the online documentation project.
