This is my favorite picture mainly because I directed this picture in its entirety. It almost looks like a 3D comic image which actually wasn’t my intention so it was a nice surprise. I was dancing gangnam style just for the hell of it.  I like how my shirt was green and then the overall color of me in other shots complemented the initial flash shot.

Lights – 11/15/12 – Learning Log 7

I think that this is one of my groups best pictures.  The subject is well lit on by the sidelight and the lines form in a unique pattern on his chest. I imagine the lights as armor.  The lighting also makes the picture look more serious and the pose matches the seriousness of it.

Learning Log 7: Lights Everywhere

I found this picture to be the best one I thought of.
There’s a balance of dark and light just barely skewed towards the light,
and it almost appears to be a solid object in the picture.
The bright pink is the color that stands out most in a harmonious way against the browns and blacks of the rest of the image.

Lightning effects.

My favourite picture of the shoot in class today. Because of the long shutter speed and the strobe light we were able to have this effect like there is  a bunch of reflections of the subject. Tripod was necessary because otherwise the pictures would not come out clear. Also we have used different strobe light colors each shot which creates a different mood for each character in the image.

Greenwood Cemetery

When we were in the Brooklyn Historical Society Building, my group and I had gotten to learn the rules and regulations from when Greenwood first opened to the rules and regulations now. The rules are pretty much the same with changes coming due to our technological advancements. I also had gotten glimpses of the maps that have not changed since the initial opening of the cemetery.

The trip to the Greenwood Cemetery was a new experience, I have never went to a cemetery to take pictures so it was something new. It’s nice to know that I was able to take happy pictures when a cemetery is usually known for a sad and depressing place.

I like this picture because it’s a piece of a grave, and how it’s two colors and has leafs and grass designed on it, its just different and very interesting image.
If I didn’t know this picture was taken in a cemetery, I would have never guessed it’s a piece of a grave. It could pass by something else.

The trip was great.

Greenwood Cemetery

During our visit to the Brooklyn Historical Society we learned the history of Greenwood Cemetery. At the time to me Greenwood seem like a very historical landmark and once i actually visited the cemetery i noticed why it is so important. The first two things i noticed were how big the cemetery it self is and how beautiful the environment around the tombs is. The simple fact that they have multiple lakes/ponds of water was surprising to me, specially since after all is only a cemetery. This also made me realize why the cemetery was advertised so much and why certain families are willing to pay big money be to be buried there.

The function of the background light is to make the background brighter while the subject itself is a little darker.

This is my favorite picture I took today in class. We used two backlights to make the background extremely bright and to make the object completely dark. It is a very interesting photo.

This is my favorite picture because i felt that there was a good use of lighting on my face. The way i was positioned and the way the lighting was worked well.I like how the lighting makes one half of the picture brighter while having the right side of the picture become darker and more like a shadow. Also i think my gesture in this picture give this picture a lot more feeling to it
