Groups of innovative young adults across the city have fired off ideas and accessories to make guns safer.
A year after Brooklyn’s Borough President Eric Adams announced the Smart Gun Design Competition, dozens of applicants entered the challenge — and five finalists from local colleges and universities are in the running for the million-dollar grant to further their research.
The finalists are students and graduates from City Tech, NYU’s Tandon School of Engineering and Pratt Institute. Their entries will be evaluated and assessed by the NYPD. ….
