Week 7 Day 2

There is not much media and ads on that site. It is pretty much a lot of information. It tells me that they have a specific audience who doesn’t rely on pictures to be attracted and learn more about their info. There are about 8 pages and the tone is pretty casual. The information they use is data. It is mostly black and white text and no videos. I can make this a good fit for publication because there is info that is interesting during this time period because NFT has become very popular in this time right now.

Nut Graf-

There are so many cases where people are taking unnecessary precautions and actions that are not needed. These precautions and actions end up being a waste of time. All these myths lead other people to follow the same steps others are taking which is false information and can mislead people into a cycle that they are doing for no reason. There needs to be a stop from people spreading myths about something they are not 100 percent sure about.

NFT stands for nonfungible token and the term fungible means exchanging something of the same kind such as a dollar bill or coins. Things that are non fungible can be things such as a car or a house because they have unique characteristics. “If it helps, you can think of NFTs as like the certificate of authenticity you might get if you bought an expensive sculpture. This basically means you have a claim of ownership, where you are considered the original owner and copy. There are people who can copy the file, but they do not have a certificate saying that it is authentic to them. It is the same as a robber breaking into someone’s house and stealing it, but you have a certificate claiming that you are the original owner.

Week 6 Day 1 HW

This article is talking about the myths of the flu. The flu and a cold are very similar and hard to tell apart what you might have and the flu is much more severe than a common cold. It is a common myth that the flu shot is the cause of the flu. It takes about two weeks for the flu shot to help provide immunity, so in the meantime, your body may end up catching the flu in that time period. Another myth is the flu is just a little more severe than a cold. Flus actually have life threatening consequences. Another common myth is that you only need the flu shot when you’re sick. According to the CDC, 90% of deaths because of the flu were ages under 30 and the other 10% were children. According to Randy Bergen of Kaiser Permanente in Walnut Creek, Calif who is a pediatrician, he states, “Actually, the new flu shot was made the same way as every other flu shot”. He is saying that all these flu shots are no different from year to year. This basically means, since there are no changes in the production and creation of the flu shot, there will be no danger or caution to be taken because it’s the same as the previous ones, and we are already aware of the regular symptoms that happen to people so, each year’s flu shot should be no different. The author is arguing this because there are many false myths that people make up which are causing many lives to be lost because they are making some false ideas that are not entirely true.
